Lacrosse Downs Tennessee State Champ and Springboro, Reach 10 Straight Wins

Bomber Lacrosse took on another state champion from the 2023 season this weekend, welcoming Montgomery Bell Academy out of Tennessee to campus. The Bombers jumped on MBA early and often, taking down the Big Red convincingly, by a score of 18-0.

Tuesday, lacrosse traveled north to take on regional rival, Springboro High School, leaving with a hard fought 15-10 victory.

Tied 3-3 after one, 7-7 at halftime, and 9-9 heading into the fourth quarter, the Bombers were able to flex their chops and separate the contest in the fourth quarter thanks to some timely goals.

It was a team affair as seven Bombers scored in the match - Nate Sprong (1G, 4A), Khalif Hocker (2G, 2A), Johnnie Guttman (3G), Daniel Vollmer (3G), Brian O'Connor (2G), Brady Bennett (2G), and Spencer Stegbauer (2G). Brendan Deeley was playing point guard, offering up four assists as well.

Magnus Violet came up big, winning 18 of 21 face-offs and Trent Yelton anchored the Bomber defense with seven saves.

The win is the 10th straight for the Bombers who now sit at 10-2 on the season. They're at home this weekend for back-to-back home contests when they welcome a pair of Michigan high schools in Detroit Central Catholic on April 26th and Hartland High School on April 27th.
