St. Xavier is the oldest high school in the Cincinnati area and one of the oldest in the nation. Established in 1831 in downtown Cincinnati, the high school program formed the lower division of St. Xavier College, now Xavier University until 1934. The high school moved to its present location in 1960 and includes 110 acres. Thanks to the many benefactors, friends and alumni, St. X has some of the best high school athletic facilities anywhere.
