Rugby Goes 2-1 at Catholic Rugby Festival

Bomber Rugby traveled to St. Louis this weekend to compete in the Catholic Rugby Festival, hosted by St. Louis University High School.

Against some stiff competition, the Bombers were able to secure a 2-1 record on the weekend.

St. Xavier opened their play with a win over the host school, SLU High School, in a tightly contested 12-11 victory. They followed that up later the afternoon with a 27-14 loss to a highly regarded St. Thomas Aquainas (KS) team.

On Sunday, the Bombers played one match - a 42-17 victory over St. James Academy out of Kansas.

The Bombers sit at 6-3 on the young season as they see a bit of a break before their next contest. They will host Moeller on April 19th in RDI Stadium for their Senior Night celebration.
