Looking to rebound from the opening loss against Lakota East, the Bombers traveled to the oldest bowling center in the country to battle Walnut Hills. Stones Lanes was the site of the schools first 300 thrown last year by Aaron Bickford. The Eagles entered 1-0 after battling against Purcell Marion.
In game one, the Bombers found themselves trailing 119 pins early. Joseph Geers was the only Bomber to cross the 200 threshold with a game of 231. Senior Brady Johnson added a 177 for the Bombers. Walnut Hills threw a 933 to the Bombers 814.
Joseph Geers paced the group in game 2 with a 200 for a 431 series followed by Brohan James with a 182 with a 317 series. Tanner Trapp added a 181 and Brady Johnson threw a 171 (348 series) for the Bombers as they cut the lead 46 entering bakers trailing 1747 to 1701.
In game one of bakers, X put up a 200 but only cut 2 pins from the lead as Walnut Hills threw a 198. In game 2, the Bombers chipped 6 more away with a 169 to 163 game. In games three and four, the Bombers come back came short with games of 138 to 159 and 159 to 166 for a baker series of 666 to 686.
The Bombers fall to 0-2 on the season as the Eagles move to 2-0 in a 2433 to 2367 final.
