Lacrosse Topples Kings, Advance to Region IV Final

Bomber Lacrosse continued their roll through the OHSAA State Tournament Tuesday night when they took Kings High School by a score of 22-4.

Johnnie Guttman led a Bomber offensive attack that scored early and often with his seven-goal, four-assist output. Four other Bombers contributed multiple goals including Khalif Hocker (4G/3A), Brendan Deeley (3G/2A), Spencer Stegbauer (2G), and Luke Sprong (2G). Trent Yelton anchored the Bomber defense with nine saves.

The 22-4 final brings the playoff differential to an astounding 72-6.

All of that is thrown out the window now as the Bombers advance to the Region IV final against GCL rival, the Moeller Crusaders. The two meet in a rematch from earlier this season when Moeller ended St. Xavier's bid for a perfect season with a 13-12 victory over the Bombers at home.

The game will be held on Friday, May 26th at Ballaban Field with a start time of 6:00 pm. Tickets to the game will NOT be sold at the gate and all tickets must be purchased through the OHSAA website.
