Bombers Handle Business, Advance to 2nd Round

St. Xavier Lacrosse left no room for questions in Wednesday night's first round matchup against Anderson at Ballaban Field.

It was all St. Xavier from the jump as they held a 16-0 lead after just one quarter. Despite pulling a majority of starters, the Bombers continued to compete at a high level and entered halftime with a 21-1 lead before ultimately walking away with a 31-2 victory.

In his return from a lengthy injury absence, sophomore Luke Sprong led the Bomber offensive attack with six goals. A bevvy of Bombers contributed multi-goal outputs, including: Alex Sharma (4G), Khalif Hocker (3G/1A), DJ Wojciechowski (2G/5A), Aidan Miller (3G), George Barzizza (3G), Sam Bumiller (2G/2A), and Magnus Violet (2G).

The win advances the Bombers to the second round of the OHSAA tournament where they await the winner of Lebanon and Lakota East. They'll welcome the winner to Ballaban Field on Saturday, May 20th.
