Bomber Lacrosse Wins Season Opener in Convincing Fashion

St. Xavier Lacrosse welcomed the Royals of Hamilton Southeastern High School to Ballaban Stadium on Sunday for a season opening affair.

The Bombers sent the reigning Indiana State Champions back to Fishers with a 15-5 loss as the St. Xavier offense was firing on all cylinders on Sunday. The Bombers jumped out to a 1-0 lead and after HSE tied the contest at 1-1, it was all St. Xavier from there on out.

Sophomore standout Khalif Hocker led the way with four goals and two assists. Fellow sophomore Brendan Deeley and freshman Spencer Stegbauer each chipped in a hat trick of goals as well.

Bomber Lacrosse is back in action with three matches this upcoming week. They host Elder on March 21st, travel to Springboro on March 24th, and will face off against Cathedral High School on March 25th. Originally scheduled as a home match, the Cathedral contest has been moved to be played at Notre Dame's Arlotta Stadium on Saturday. Notre Dame will face Virginia in a 1-vs-2 matchup at 12:00 pm to be followed by the Bombers at approximately 2:30 pm. Cost to get into the game will be free but ESPX intends to broadcast the game live as well.
