Lacrosse Leaves New York with Victory, Heavy Momentum

Lacrosse Leaves New York with Victory, Heavy Momentum

Bomber Lacrosse traveled to Syracuse, New York for a pair of games this weekend. They returned with a 1-1 record and the knowledge that they hung with one of the top lacrosse programs world wide.

The Bombers took on the host school, Fayetteville-Manlius High School, on Saturday afternoon. They came away with a 16-9 victory, thanks in large part to four goals a piece by senior Luke Vrsansky and freshman Khalif Hocker.

On Sunday, the Bombers stuck around to take on the top ranked program in all of Canada, the Hill Academy. After trailing 8-2 at intermission, the Bombers played even up in the second half to come away with a 14-8 loss.

The schedule doesn't get any easier as the Bombers schedule this weekend includes a pair of road contests against Cathedral High School out of Indianapolis on Friday and Upper Arlington High School in Columbus on Saturday. Both teams are ranked second in their respective states, according to MaxPreps.

The next chance to see the Bombers at home will be Tuesday, May 3rd when they play Lakota West High School at 7:00 pm at RDI Stadium on the campus of St. Xavier High School. Tickets will be available here later this week.
