The St. Xavier Ice Hockey Team wrapped up their regular season in impressive fashion, finishing 2-1 in the Consolation bracket of the Capital Conference Blue Jackets Cup, hosted by Ohio Health.

The Bombers came out strong in the opening round on Friday night, dominating familiar foe Bishop Watterson with a commanding 8-1 victory. Blake Kaeding and Connor Kramer each netted two goals, while Henry Daus, Finn Hayes, Andrew Coburn, and Brian O'Connor also contributed with one goal each, securing an easy win for the Bombers.

The momentum continued into Saturday evening when St. Xavier sought redemption against Dublin Coffman. After falling 2-4 to the Rocks earlier in the season, the Bombers were determined not to repeat that outcome. Sophomore Quinten Hoynes delivered with both goals of the night, leading his team to a 2-0 shutout victory.

Sunday saw the Bombers face Olentangy Berlin in the Consolation bracket finals. Despite their best efforts, the Bombers came up just short, losing a heartbreaker 3-4.

Now, with the post-season in full swing, the Bombers are gearing up for the first round of the OHSAA Tournament, where they'll face Worthington Kilbourne at the Ohio Health Ice Haus on Friday, February 14th at 6:30pm.
