Water Polo Goes Undefeated in Packer Classic TournamentÂ
The St. Xavier Water Polo team is making waves this season, continuing their impressive run by going undefeated (4-0) at the highly competitive Packer Classic Tournament held at Princeton High School. Teams from across the state gathered to showcase their skills, but it was the Bombers who stole the spotlight.Â
The tournament kicked off with a nail-biting victory against Upper Arlington, where the Bombers clinched a close win, 3-2.Â
St. Xavier later showcased their defensive prowess with a staggering 15-0 shutout against Thomas Worthington. Goalkeeper performances and tight teamwork were pivotal in this commanding victory.
The team faced a fierce challenge from New Albany, edging out a 6-5 victory to start the 2nd day of the tournament.Â
In their final match, the Bombers overwhelmed Milford with an impressive 18-1 win, leaving no doubt about their capabilities.
The success wasn't limited to the Varsity squad. The JV Water Polo team also made a splash, finishing with a commendable 3-1 record at the tournament.Â
