Tennis Opens Season with Dominant Performance in Kentucky

The Varsity Bombers opened their season this past weekend with a trip down to Bowling Green, Kentucky for the aptly named Match Madness tournament.

Hosted by Greenwood High School, the Bombers played three matches across Saturday and Sunday before heading home. They seemingly were already in mid-season form as they went 3-0, only dropping two of the 31 sets they played.

The Bombers opened by beating Owensboro Catholic and North Oldham High School by scores of 5-0 and 4-1, respectively. They closed the weekend with a 5-0 sweep of the host school, Greenwood High School, before heading home.

Bomber Tennis will play two matches this week, at La Salle on Tuesday and at home against Sycamore on Wednesday, before taking a small break over Easter.
