Hockey Goes 2-1 in Season Opening Home Stand

After a few weekend trips under their belt, Bomber Hockey was finally able to open their season at the friendly confines of the Queen City Sportsplex with a trio of home contests over the season.

On Friday, the Bombers welcomed the Northern Kentucky Norse to open the weekend. Six different Bombers got on the board in an 8-0 victory as Joey Rusnak notched his first shutout of the season.

Saturday marked the beginning of conference play for the Bombers as they eye down a promotion this season in the Capitol Hockey Conference. They opened with Upper Arlington on Saturday and followed that up with Thomas Worthington on Sunday.

Matthew Langenderfer led the way on Saturday, scoring a hat trick en route to a 7-2 victory over Upper Arlington. The Bombers fell on Sunday to Thomas Worthington by a score of 5-3, landing them at 2-1 on the weekend and 1-1 in conference play.

The Bombers are back at home this weekend for a pair of contests when they host Bishop Watterson on Saturday and Columbus Academy on Sunday!
