St. Xavier's 41st Annual Athletic Hall of Fame

On Thursday, February 13, 2025, St. Xavier proudly hosted the 41st Annual Athletic Hall of Fame Induction and Dinner on campus. The evening, emceed by Rocky Boiman '98, was a celebration brimming with cherished memories, school pride, and the warm hospitality of the St. Xavier community. Former Cincinnati Reds player Eric Davis served as our keynote, followed by an engaging Q&A session led by Wayne Miller, the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The event was a remarkable tribute to the rich athletic history of St. Xavier and its exceptional individuals.

Full List of Inductees' Bios: 

Michael Hall '14 - Cross Country and Track & Field 
Michael Hall made an indelible mark at St. Xavier. In cross country, he was a three-time First Team GCL and First Team All-City and a two-time GCL Champion. In his senior year, he was the district and regional champion, earned All-State honors, and finished 15th in the cross-country national meet. He was a 2x GCL Runner of the Year, winning the 800 and 1600 meters twice, and was runner-up in the state twice in the 1600 meters. He is 4th in school history in the 5000 meters. In track, Michael set school records in the 800 meters, 4x800 relay (7:36.33, a state record), and is 3rd in school history in the 1600 meters (4:08.52). Continuing his athletic career at Florida State University, Michael was an NCAA Cross Country Individual Qualifier in 2017 and became the first St. Xavier runner to break the 4:00 mark in the mile in 2018. He set the school record in the DMR (9:33.39) in 2017 and achieved top all-time rankings at FSU in multiple events, including the mile (3:59.37, top 3), 1500 meters (3:43.70, top 7), and 3000m SC (8:55.57, top 8). He was a five-time All-ACC honoree in cross country and track and field, cementing his legacy as one of St. Xavier's most accomplished athletes.

Andy Kendrick '90 - Swimming & Diving (Deceased) 
From 1987 to 1990, Andrew Kendrick recorded multiple top-five finishes at the State Swimming and Diving Championship Meets, accounting for 40% of St. Xavier's total scoring during that period. He was a leader of multiple state championship relay teams and placed in the top five in One Meter Diving for four straight years. Andrew continued his swim career at the University of Cincinnati, where he was a four-year varsity letter winner and co-captain.

Pat Muldoon '09 - Football 
Pat Muldoon's distinguished career both at St. Xavier and the University of Wisconsin demonstrates his exceptional talent and dedication in football. Named the Ohio Defensive Player of the Year his senior year, he earned first-team all-state, all-city, all-district, and all-league honors, recording 60 tackles, 30 TFLs, 7.5 QB sacks, and three fumble recoveries. As a junior, he was second-team all-state and first-team all-district, all-city, and all-league with 70 tackles, 18 TFLs, 12 sacks, two forced fumbles, and an interception. His sophomore year saw 40 tackles, 13 TFLs, and 9.5 sacks. Pat earned four letters playing for the University of Wisconsin, starting in 12 games over his career and participating in prestigious bowl games, including the Rose Bowl and the Capital One Bowl.

Scott Murrer '79 - Football & Track (Deceased) 
Scott Murrer was a football captain, All-GCL, All-City, and ranked among the "all-time top 10 defensive linemen" with offers to play at Notre Dame, Ohio State, Tennessee, Purdue, and Michigan. He also ran track, competing in the 800 meters, and eventually attended Harvard, where he played football and track. Scott was a two-time All-Ivy League selection, captain, and Ivy League champion in football. In track, he served as a two-year captain and Ivy League champion.

Scott Smith '00 - Soccer & Wrestling 
Scott's exceptional wrestling career at St. Xavier High School is highlighted by his numerous accomplishments. In 2000, he was a state runner-up and a two-time state qualifier. He also was a district champion in 2000, a three-time sectional champion, and a three-time GCL individual champion. Scott holds the school record for the most pins (77) and ranks second in school history with 117 wins. His accolades include being named GCL Wrestler of the Year, 1st Team All-City, team captain, and MVP in 2000. Additionally, Scott lettered for three years in soccer.
