The Bombers returned to the Cardinal Classic on Sunday, January 19th.  The Bowling Bombers have finished second in the last two years at the Cardinal Classic.  The 16 team field would be cut to the top 8 for bracket play.  

The Bombers came out firing in game one with a 225 by Senior Brady Johnson.  Luke Stigall added a 202 and Joseph Geers threw a 195.  Bradley Giuffre added a 177 as the Bombers posted a 940 game one.  The Bombers sat in 9th after game one.  Beavercreek came out with an early 1155 lead.

In game two, the Bombers were led by Joseph Geers with a 226 for a 421 series.  Luke Stigall shot a 412 on the back of a 210 game.  Brady Johnson completed his 407 with a 182 and Bradley Giufre punched in a 202 for a 379.  Sophomore Joseph Ritter threw a 180 as the Bombers notched a 1000 game and moved into the 8th position and 37 pins above the cut line.  

In bakers, the Bombers would struggle on the transition with games of 148, 184, 183, 163, 196, and a 145 for a 1019 Baker series.  The Bombers would fall out of the top 8 and finish 10th.  

Bomber Strength:

The Bombers have continued to improve as the year progresses.  In the month of November, the Bombers averaged 169.8 per game.  In January, the Bombers have averaged 183.2 per game.  

Upcoming Schedule:

The Bombers face off against GCL rival Moeller on the 23rd and then have a weekend of travel.  The Bombers will roll in the East vs West Tournament at Western Bowl on the 25th before traveling north to Parma, Ohio to roll in the St. Iganatious Baker Tournament.  The Bombers finish January with a GCL match against La Salle ont eh 29th and senior night on the 31st.  

Around the GCL:

The Lancers beat Colerain 3091 to 2299.  Elder continues to sit atop the GCL at 6-0, followed by La Salle at 4-2, the Bombers in third at 2-4, and Moeller at 0-6.
