Track & Field Finishes Top-10 in State

Bomber Track & Field sent a number of runners to compete at the 2024 OHSAA State Track & Field Championships this past weekend at Welcome Stadium in Dayton, Ohio.

As a team, the Bombers took 10th place, finishing only 2nd in terms of teams from Southwest Ohio. They came in just behind Wayne High School who placed 2nd overall in the meet. The Bombers also finished 2nd behind Wayne in the previous week's Regional Track Meet, also held at Welcome Stadium. In total, the Bombers sent five events to the State Meet: 3200m run, 800m run, 400m run, 4x400m relay, and the 2024 Region IV Champion 4x800m relay team.

In the relays, the Bombers took 5^th in the 4x800m and 7^th in the 4x400m. In the individual runs, Dominic Jackson took 4^th place in the 800m final with a run that put him at 5^th all time in the event in St. Xavier history. Alabama-commit Evan Trapp also took 4^th in the 3200m run. The 4x400m relay team put out a time that was good for 4th all time in the St. Xavier record books.
