Track & Field Takes 3rd in Districts, Send Bevy of Athletes to Regional Meet

Bomber Track & Field competed at the Southwest District Track Meet last week held at Mason High School. The Bombers came away with a 3rd place finish as a team and advanced six individuals or relay teams to this week's Regional Meet.

At Mason, the Bombers had three district champs, two district runners up, and one other qualifier based on time. The Regional qualifiers from St. Xavier are:

400m Dash - Gavin Pelzel - District Champ
800m Run - Dominic Jackson - District Champ
4x800m Relay - Alex Bruns, Evan Trapp, Dominic Jackson, and Jack Nesbit - District Champs
1600m Run - Luke Fox - District Runner-up
3200m Run - Alex Bruns - District Runner-up
4x400m Relay - Dominic Jackson, Shane Strayhorn, Jack Nesbit, and Gavin Pelzel

The Bomber runners will travel to the OHSAA Regional Meet held at Welcome Stadium in Dayton on Wednesday, May 22nd and Friday, May 24th. Tickets for that meet can be purchased at www.ohsaa.org/tickets.
