Volleyball Continues Hot Start with Busy Weekend

Despite dropping their first match of the season, Bomber Volleyball continued their hot start into a busy weekend of matches this past weekend.

Beginning on Friday night, the Bombers hosted Moeller for a GCL contest and came out victorious over the Crusaders winning 3-1. The victory marked a season sweep over the Crusaders in GCL play.

The Bombers had a quick turnaround as they traveled up north to compete in the Centerville Elite Tournament on Saturday. St. Xavier took down Centerville 3-0 in quarterfinal action and then beat the Crusaders once more in the semifinals by a score of 3-0. St. Xavier proceeded to lose their first match of the year in the finals to Olentangy Liberty by a score of 1-3.

Bomber Volleyball currently sits at 14-1 on the season and a perfect 4-0 in GCL play as they hold onto sole possession of first place by two games with only two to play. They have locked up a spot as GCL South Co-Champions, with one more win securing a spot at the top all by themselves.

The Bombers travel to Centerville on Tuesday night to take on the Elk in a program triple header before returning home to welcome La Salle on Thursday in a GCL match up.
