St. Xavier Volleyball Starts Season 5-0 with Dominant PerformancesÂ
The St. Xavier volleyball team has stormed out of the gates with an impressive 5-0 start, showcasing a powerful offense, strong serving, and relentless defense.Â

March 14 - Comeback Win Over St. Xavier (KY)Â
In a thrilling four-set match, St. Xavier overcame a slow start to defeat St. Xavier (KY) 3-1 (19-25, 25-19, 25-17, 27-25). Junior Joe Taggart led the charge with 31 kills and 10 errors on 67 attempts, while senior Matt Schulte added 7 kills and 4 digs. Defensive efforts were highlighted by Luke Sorce, who posted 22 digs, anchoring the back row.Â
March 21 - Sweep of La SalleÂ
The Bombers dominated La Salle in straight sets (25-14, 25-8, 25-21). Taggart once again led with 12 kills, while senior Matteo Romeo was efficient, tallying 10 kills on 15 attempts. Setter Cam Evans dished out 30 assists and added 4 digs. The Bombers' aggressive serving, with 10 aces, kept La Salle off balance.Â
March 22 - Undefeated Run at Olentangy TournamentÂ
St. Xavier swept through the competition at the Olentangy tournament, winning all three matches in straight sets.Â

2-0 vs. Stow: The Bombers made quick work of Stow, with Taggart (4 kills, 4 digs) and Soloria (5 kills) leading the offense. Evans was dominant at the service line, firing 4 aces.Â

2-0 vs. Olentangy Liberty: St. Xavier capped the tournament with another clean sweep. Taggart powered the offense with 10 kills, while Soloria contributed 3 kills and 6 digs. Senior Connor Fahey was sharp from the service line, landing 4 aces.Â
