The Bowling Bombers (0-3) rolled back home on Wednesday in a GCL tilt against the Moeller Crusaders (0-2).  The Crusaders and Bombers went 2 and 2 against each other last season.  Moller lost to Elder to start the season 2838 to 2408.

In game one, the Bombers' early season spare trouble continued as the Bombers failed to cross the 200 threshold.  Junior Joseph Geers, paced the Bombers with a 189 followed by Brogan James with a 172.  Luke Stigall, Brady Johnson, and a tag team of Bradley Giufre and Jack Kaiser shot games of 152, 150, and 123.  The Crusaders were paced with 2 big games of 216 and 201 from Dalton Schotmiller and John Sparks.  After one the Bombers trailed 874 to 786.

A ball change in game two was what Joseph Geers needed as he shot a St. X high game of 202 for a 391 series.  Brady Johnson found success with a 198 for a 348 series and Brogan James completed his 352 series with a 180.  Freshman Luke Stigall shot a 168 for a 320.  Bradley Giufre and Tanner Trapp combined for a 188 to push the Bombers to a 936.  Thomas Dyjak was high game for the Crusaders with a 184.  The Bombers erased an 88 pin deficit to enter bakers leading 1722 to 1601.  

The Bombers closed the door on the Crusaders with games of 169, 181, 197, and 178 while Moeller shot 158, 121, 193, and 199.   With a final baker score of 725 to 671, the Bombers get their first win and first GCL win of the season 2447 to 2272.  The Bombers move to 1 and 3 on the season while Moeller falls to 0 and 3.

Elder took a close match-up with the La Salle Lancers 2927 to 2885 on December 20th.  The Panthers sit atop the GCL 2-0, with the Lancers and Bombers tied at 1-1, followed by Moeller at 0-2.
