Cross Country Continues Success By Capturing District Title
This past weekend, the St. Xavier Cross Country team remained dominant into the start of the post-season. The Bombers captured the 2024 Southwest Ohio District title!
The team was led by senior
Alex Bruns who secured the individual title with a blistering time of 15:19. Junior
Dom Ellis finished 3rd with another great time of 15:35.
In addition, senior
Jack Nesbit ran a 16:02 to finish 9th overall. Sophomore
Benjamin Wangugi claimed 11th with a time of 16:04. Senior
Landen Fernandez had a 16:18 finishing 15th. Senior
Owen Paul ran a 16:33 resulting in a 21st finish, and sophomore
William Louis finished 23rd with a 16:35. An impressive effort by all the St. Xavier runners out of the overall 106 participants!
St. Xavier accumulated a team score of 39 to claim the title! Loveland was the runner-up with a 46. Moeller finished 3rd, Walnut Hills was 4th, and Milford got 5th, all securing their spot in the Regional Meet.
