The Greater Catholic League South has announced its 2025 All-League Cross Country teams, with St. Xavier once again leading the way.

Senior Dom Ellis was named GCL South Runner of the Year after capturing the league title with a time of 15:39.5, finishing 42 seconds ahead of the field. Ellis has been among the top runners in Ohio this fall, owning the state's second-fastest 5K time.



 

Head Coach Andy Wietmarschen earned Coach of the Year honors after guiding the Bombers to their 15th straight league title and 28th overall, tying Elder for the most in GCL South history. St. X dominated the championship meet with six runners in the top 10 and a team score of 16.




 

Joining Ellis on the First Team All-GCL were Benjamin Wangugi, Aidan Dehring, and Liam Holman. Sam Bruns, William Louis, and Colin Albers earned Second Team honors.
