Basketball Jumps on Springfield, Cruises to Home Victory

Thanks to a strong first quarter effort, Bomber Basketball cruised to victory over the Springfield Wildcats on Tuesday night by a score of 67-46.

Senior Andrew Weber came out firing for the Bombers as he scored all of his team-high 14 points in the first quarter. He was a perfect 4-4 for from three and 2-2 from the free throw line to lead the Bomber offensive attack that ourtcored Springfield 24-4 through one quarter of action.

Though Weber's scoring contributions slowed down, the rest of the Bombers were just getting going as all 12 Bombers who dressed for the game etched their names in the score book. Aside from Weber's 14-point outing to pair with 4 assists, Charlie Fish was the lone other Bomber in double figures as he scored 11 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Jacob Wassler stuffed the stat sheet scoring 5 points, collecting 10 rebounds and adding 4 blocked shots.

The win improves the Bomber record to 8-2 on the season as they set their sights on GCL play opening this Friday. The Bombers will travel to La Salle on 1/12 to take on the Lancers in a program triple header with game times of 4:30/6:00/7:30 pm.
