Football Falls at Home to Louisville Trinity

Bomber Football hosted Louisville Trinity High School for their annual matchup, this season in Cincinnati.

The Bombers got on the board first thanks to a Jake Cengia 28-yard field goal late in the 1st quarter, but that would prove to be the only points the Bomber offense could muster.

Trinity tied the contest at 3-3 with a 46-yard field goal of their own with 8:48 remaining in the 2nd quarter. They would proceed to take the lead for good off the strength of a 57-yard touchdown pass from Zane Johnson, the Trinity Shamrock quarterback.

After taking a 10-7 lead into halftime, the second half would prove to be more of a slugfest as both teams struggled to move the ball on the opposing defense. Trinity would score the lone second half points on an 8-yard touchdown pass from Johnson, his second on the evening.

The loss drops the Bombers record to 3-4 on the season. They'll look to get back on track this Friday when they host La Salle to round out their GCL schedule and compete for the King of the Road trophy! That game will be at 7:00 pm at Ballaban Field on the campus of St. Xavier High School. Those tickets are available and on sale here.
