Bomber Football 2022 Schedule Release

Highlighted by a Week Two trip to Chicago to play on ESPN, the 2022 Bomber football schedule is here and full of storylines.

For the second consecutive season, the Bombers will open up play against Lakota West High School. In what's turning into a formidable rivalry, the two schools have taken turns knocking each other out of the OHSAA playoffs in each of the last two seasons. The Bombers will travel to Lakota in an effort to seek revenge on a 12-2 Regional Semifinal loss last season.

This trip is followed up by the Jesuit Showdown as St. Xavier travels to Loyola Academy to take on the Ramblers in a Sunday afternoon contest on ESPN. More information on that, can be found here.

After two straight road contests, the Bombers are at home for a three game home stand against Olentangy Liberty (9/2), Mishawaka Penn out of Indiana (9/9), and the Crusaders of Moeller High School (9/16) for their annual rivalry game.

St. Xavier is right back on the road for three more contests, including a trip to The Pit to take on Elder (9/23) and a trip down to Kentucky to take on Trinity High School (9/30).

Finally, the Bombers close out their 10-game regular season with consecutive home games against St. Ignatius in a Saturday afternoon game (10/15) and Life Christian Academy out of Virginia for Senior Night on 10/21.

The Bombers kick off their scrimmage schedule by traveling to Centerville on Saturday, August 6th. Their final tuneup will be at the friendly confines of Ballaban Field as they welcome Colerain High School on Friday, August 12th.
