Bomber Football to Play on ESPN in Jesuit Showdown

The St. Xavier Football program will travel to Chicago the weekend of August 28th to take on Loyola Academy, ESPN announced last night in a press release.

In a battle of Jesuit institutions, the Bombers will play Loyola Academy on ESPN at 1:00 pm EST on Sunday, August 28th on ESPN as the finale to the Geico ESPN High School Kickoff.

Starting on Thursday, August 25th, there will be seven high school football games televised across ESPN networks, culminating in this Jesuit clash.

Loyola Academy will also play host to the other two levels of Bomber Football as the Freshman and Junior Varsity teams will travel to play games on Saturday afternoon. The Freshman will play at 1:30 EST and the Junior Varsity will follow at approximately 3:30 EST, both on Saturday, August 27th.

Following the contests on Saturday, the two communities (including players/staff/families) will get together the night before the Varsity game for an evening of fellowship including a mass, dinner, and social.
