Volleyball Revenge Tour Opens with Sweep of Walnut Hills

If the St. Xavier High School Volleyball program wants to make a return trip to state, they're likely going to have to go through three teams who gave them four of their five losses.

That quest began last night in a convincing 3-0 sweep of Walnut Hills, who beat the Bombers 3-1 in just the second game of the season.

The two programs traded blows in the first set before a final Bomber push saw them win 25-20. From there it was all St. Xavier as they proceeded to jump on the Eagles of Walnut Hills early and often the next two sets. They won set two 25-12 and closed out set three 25-11 to reserve their spot in the Regional Finals.

St. Xavier will await the winner of Mason and Moeller as the two play tonight, May 26th at 7:00 pm at Moeller High School. The Regional Final match will be held at 7:00 pm on Saturday, May 28th at Princeton High School. Tickets can be bought here.
