It was a Friday night showdown in the GCL as the Bombers faced off against the Lancers, Panthers, and Crusaders. The Bombers entered the contest in second 2 games out of first and needed to win the GCL quad and have LaSalle finish third if they wanted a chance to win the GCL title.
In game one, the Bombers took an early lead by shooting an 1115. The Bombers had four bowlers shoot 200+.
Christopher Obert rattled the racks with a 264 while Jared Littlemann shot a 232.
Zackary Beard rolled a 226 and
Owen Sena followed with a 201.
Allen Rosal fought for a 192 in game one. For the Lancers only two bowlers shot north of 200, Nolan Blessing with a 254 and Tommy Hambrick with a 244, as they finished game one with a 1019. The Elder Panthers shot a 901 as CJ Herbers rolled a 201 for them. Moeller finished game one with an 860.
In game two, the Bombers shot a 981 as the lanes began to transition.
Jared Littelmann finished his day with a 212 for a 444 series.
Christopher Obert shot a 204 for a 468 series.
Allen Rosal rolled a 201 for a 393 series and
Zackary Beard finished with a 192 for a 418 series.

Owen Sena started to shoot a 172 for the Bombers. This time the Lancers had four bowlers shoot 200 plus with Nolan Blessing leading the way with a 243 for a 1091 for the Lancers. Jason Stenger for the Panthers shot a 241 as Elder completed a 978 game. The Moeller Crusaders finished with a 896. Heading into bakers, the Lancers led with a 2110 followed by the Bombers with 2096 then the Panthers at 1879 and the Crusaders with 1756.
The Bombers quickly erased the 14 pin lead in game of the bakers rolling a 228 to the Lancers 206. LaSalle cut the lead to 3 pins with a game two score of 183 to the Bombers 178. The Bombers added four pins to their lead with a 193 to the Lancers 189. In game four, the Bombers put up a 188 while the Lancers finished with 216 to secure a 21 pin victory. The Bombers shot a 787 in bakers while the Lancers rolled a 794. The Elder Panthers shot an 842 and Moeller rolled a 673. The Lancers finished with 2904, the Bombers shot a 2883, Elder rolled a 2721, and Moeller completed their day with a 2429.
GCL STANDINGS:
The Bombers finish the season 8-4 in the GCL securing a second place finish in the league. This is the 5th time the Bombers have finished 2nd in the league and the first time since the 2017 season. The Bombers' winning percentage in the league (66/7%) is the highest for a Bomber team since the 2013 team won 92.9% of their league games. This is the first time since the 2013 season the Bombers have swept the Elder Panthers and its the first time ever the Bombers have beat the Panthers four times in a single season. This also marks the first time the Bombers have swept the Moeller Crusaders since the 2017 season. Looking to next season, the Bombers return 5 of their 6 varsity members for their senior year, LaSalle returns one, and Elder returns current sophomore and 2 juniors.

The Bombers finish their season on the road at Gilmore Lanes on Tuesday to roll against Lakota West and then they are off till sectionals.
