The Bombers hosted the Moeller Crusaders on Thursday February 4th.  The match was originally scheduled for December but was moved due to Covid concerns.  This was the 70th match up between the GCL schools with the Bombers holding 57-12 advantage.  

In game one, the Bombers shot a 1063.  Allen Rosal rolled a 234 while Jared Littelmann and Owen Sena rolled a 225 and 224 each.  Zackary Beard and Jalen Morrow each shot a 190 for the Bombers.  The Moeller Crusaders combined for an 833 in game one.  

In game two, half the team was on a burned up pair and had difficulty in the transition.  Allen Rosal finished with a 390 as he shot a 156.  Zackary Beard shot the first half and Christopher Obert came in to complete a game on the burned out pair with a 164.  On the oiled pair, Owen Sena led the Bombers with a 236 for a 460 series and Jared Littelmann finished right be hind him with a 233 for a 458 series.  Jalen Morrow changed equipment between games one and two to roll a 215 for a 405 series.  The Bombers shot a 1004 for a team total of 2067 while the Crusaders shot an 828 for 1661.

In bakers the Bombers shot games of 194, 227, 194, and 210 for an 825 while the Crusaders rolled 183, 149, 158, and 189 for a 679.  The Bombers win by a total of 2892 to 2340.  The Bombers move to 12-5 overall and 6-3 in the GCL while the Crusaders fall to 2-10 and 0-8 in the GCL.  The Bombers sit 2 games behind the LaSalle Lancers for first in the GCL. 

Record Performances:
Owen Sena's 460 is the 96th best 2 game series in school history.  The Bombers' 2892 sits as the 14th best match series in school history, their 1063 is the 52nd best team game in school history, and 825 is the 36th best baker series for the Bombers.  This is the 6th time this season the Bombers have posted a top 20 match series.  The Bombers hold a 2.5 game lead over the Elder Panthers heading into Friday.  

Upcoming Schedule:
The Bombers are on the road on Friday to roll in their last GCL match of the season in the final quad of the year.  If the Bombers finish 3rd or better in the quad they can hold onto the second place position.  If the Bombers can finish first with LaSalle finishing 3rd or worst, the Bombers can at least tie for the GCL title.  They then travel to Gilmore Lanes on Tuesday for the final match of the season.
