The Bowling Bombers (2-0) and the Colerain Cardinals (2-0) met in a battle of the unbeatens on Monday December 6th at Colerain Bowl.  The Bombers and Cardinals have tangled only 6 times in school history with each team sporting 3 wins.  The Cardinals came into this match averaging 2741 to the Bombers 2745.  The Bombers edged the Cardinals out of going to state in March by 12 pins.  

In game one the Bombers stumbled out of the gate with only Allen Rosal rolling a game higher than 200, a 206.  Jalen Morrow and Jared Littelmann shot a 198 and 192 while Chris Obert put up a 183.  Zack Beard was relieved by Andrew Berkemeier for a 163.  The Cards had 200+ games from Ryan Johnson and Nick Dewald on their way to a 990.  The Bombers trailed by 48 pins rolling a team total of 942.  

In game two, the Cards pushed the Bombers with a team total of 1037 with 4 games north of 200 from Johnson, Dewald, Johnny Tanner, and Josh Kirby.  The Bombers rolled the high team game for the day with a 1045.  Jared Littelmann, Chris Obert, and Jalen Morrow lit up the scoreboard with games of 244, 238, and 223.  Allen Rosal shot a 190 and Andrew Berkemeier and Euell Yohannes combined for a 150.  Jared Littelmann ended his day with a 436 series with Jalen Morrow and Chris Obert both ending with a 421, and Allen Rosal ending the day with a 396.  The Bombers shaved 8 pins from the lead trailing by 40 going into bakers.  

The Bombers rolled games of 171, 222, 203, and 204 on their way to a baker series of 800 while the Cardinals pulled away with games of 186, 248, 202, and 190 for a total of 826.  The Bombers fall to 2 and 1 on the season with the Cards moving to 3 and 0.  The Bombers are back in action in the opening game of the GCL when they host Moeller on Tuesday December 7th at Western Bowl.  

Record Performances:
The Bombers put up 2 team scores for the record books.  Game 2's 1045 enters the record book as the 90th best team game in school history while the baker series of 800 sits 65th best.  

Upcoming Schedule:
The Bombers continue their run to winter break a home match against Moeller on the 7th and are the away team against Elder on the 9th.  On December 12th, the Bombers are at Western Bowl again rolling in the Holiday Classic.  The Bombers then close December with the first GCL Quad match of the year at Crossgate Lanes on December 14th.
