The Bowling Bombers returned to the Ohio High School Invitational Kick-Off Tournament at HP Lanes for the first time since 2011 and only for the third time in school history.  The tournament is an invite only tournament for the teams who have done well at State, Districts, and Sectionals.  The tournament format changed slightly this year with 3 individual games and two team baker games to cut the field to 16 then a total pin-fall 3 game series in bracket play.  

In game one, the Bombers shot a team 963.  Jared Littelmann put up a 212 and Allen Rosal rolled a 206 for the Bombers.  Zack Beard and Chris Obert totaled 199 and 180 for the Bombers. After game one the Bombers were sitting in fifth trailing behind Centerville, Westerville Central, Troy, and Wapakoneta.  

The Bombers struggled with the transition and lane move in game two throwing only a 904.  Zack Beard and Jared Littelmann were the only Bombers to roll a 190+ with games of 195 and 194.  Allen Rosal and Andrew Berkemeier shot dueling 179s.  The Bombers two game total of 1867 had them fall to sixth behind Cednterville, Westerville Central, Wapakoneta, Kettering Fairmont, and Troy.  

The Bombers answered back in game 3 with a 1013.  Jalen Morrow paced the Bombers with a 242 and Allen Rosal shot a 213 for a 598 series.  Zack Beard shot another 199 for a 593 series and Jared Littelmann ended his 587 series with a 181.  Andrew Berkemeier rolled a 178.  The Bombers three game series of 2880 pushed them into 4th place heading into qualifying bakers.  

In bakers, the Bombers shot games of 183 and 173 for a 356 total and a qualifying score of 3236.  The Bombers ended qualifying tied for 3rd with Westerville Central but due to a tie breaker would be put in the fourth spot for the bracket play.  

In the round of 16, the Bombers faced off against St. Mary's Memorial High School  near Lima Ohio.  Last season, St. Mary's finished third in the Northwest Division District Tournament.  St. Mary's jumped to a 13 pin lead in game one with a 179-166 match.  In game two, the Bombers out scores St. Mary's 193 to 156 to hold a 24 pin lead.  In game 3, the Bombers clinched the victory to move on with a 184 to 145 score.  

The Bombers then advanced to face the Central Division team Pickerington North.  Pickerington was a 4th place finisher last year in their District Tournament.  In game one, the Bombers jump to an 8 pin lead with a game of 186 to the Panthers 178.  In game two, the Bombers struggled to chain strikes rolling a 167 while Pickerington North shot a 223 for a 51 pin lead.  The Bombers shot a 137 in game 3 to finish their day.  

The Bombers finish the day in fifth place.  The Bombers return to the lanes at home to roll against the Butler Aviators on Tuesday November 23 at Western Bowll at 6PM.
