On Thursday January 7th, the Bowling Bombers hosted the Indians from Fairfield High School. The Bombers entered this match up trailing the all time record against Fairfield with 5 wins and 6 losses.
In game 1, the Bombers came out shooting a 1037 as a team with juniors

Allen Rosal (223) leading the way. Senior
Owen Sena and junior Zack Beard shot a 178 and 177 to add to the game one total. The Indians shot a 162 pins over their season average with 1023 for game one. The Bombers led by only 14 pins.
In game 2, the Bombers broke the 1000 mark once again with a 1025.
Christopher Obert shot a game high 237 for a 461 series to lead all bowlers.
Allen Rosal matched his game one score with a second 223 for a 446 series and
Jared Littelmann rolled a 185 for a 420 series.
Owen Sena finished his day with a 203 for a 381 series and
Gavin Twitty shot a 177. Fairfield rolled an 870 in game two as the Bomber lead grew to 169 pins.
In bakers, the Bombers experimented with their line up to roll games of 169, 236, 161, and 157 for a total of 723 while the Fairfield Indians rolled 172, 190, 191, and 136 for a 689 total. The Bombers even the all-time series 6-6 against Fairfield with a 2785-2582 win. The Bombers move to 3-3 overall and Fairfield falls to 1-3.
Christopher Obert puts his name in the record books with his 461 which places him as the 85th best 2 game series in school history. As a team the Bombers 1037 and 1025 sit as the 86th and 115th best team scores in school history.
GCL Standings:
The Bombers sit tied for 3rd in the GCL at 0-2 with the Moeller Crusaders. The Lancers sit in first with a GCL record of 3-0 and the Elder Panthers sit at 1-0 on the season. On January 12th the Bombers travel to Crossgate Lanes for their next GCL match and then head to Colerain on January 15th for the first GCL Quad of the season.
Weekend Preview:
The Bombers roll double duty this weekend with the Lancer Baker Bash on Saturday and the Raider Collegiate High School Challenge on Sunday. Last year at the Lancer Baker Bash, the Bombers finished 20th and have finished 2nd twice in the history of the tournament (2013 and 2014). The Bombers have only rolled in the Raider Collegiate High School Challenge twice; in 2020 they finished 13th and in 2016 they finished 17th.
