On Tuesday January 5th, the Bowling Bombers traveled to Colerain Bowl to take on the LaSalle Lancers.  The Bombers and Lancers came into this match as the top two teams in the GCL from a stats perspective.  The Lancers were averaging 1043 per game and the Bombers came in averaging 965 per game.  LaSalle came in averaging just north of 200 and St. X averaged 192 per baker game at this point in the season.  

In game 1, senior Owen Sena and junior Jared Littelmann broke the 200 barrier (206 and 202 respectfully) while juniors Christopher Obert (194), Allen Rosal (175), and Zackary Beard (173) combined to roll a 950.  The Lancers jumped to a big lead early rolling a team total of 1164 with four starters shooting over 220 and senior Nolan Blessing shooting a 268. 

In game two, the Bombers rolled a 990 to the Lancers 966 to cut their lead down and trail by a score of 2130 to 1940.  Owen Sena shot a 234 for a series total of 440 and Jared Littelmann shot a 215 for a 417 series.  Zackary Beard shot a 197 (370 series), Christopher Obert rolled a 179 (373 series), and Allen Rosal finished with a 165 (340 series).  

In bakers, the Bombers shot a 174, 213, 212, and 256 for a total of 855.  The baker game of 256 is the 17th best baker game in team history and the 855 is 13th best in team history.  The Lancers shot a 910 total in bakers.  The Bombers fall on the road by a score of 3040 to 2795.  LaSalle moves  5-0 on the season and 3-0 in the GCL.  The Bombers fall to 2-3 and 0-2 in the GCL.  The Bombers face the Lancers 2 more times this season during the GCL quads.  The Bombers are in action 3 more times this week with a home match against GMC member Fairfield High School on Thursday, the Lancer Baker Bash on Saturday, and the Wright State Raider Challenge on Sunday.  

GCL Standings:
The Bombers sit tied for 3rd in the GCL at 0-2 with the Moeller Crusaders.  The Lancers sit in first with a GCL record of 3-0 and the Elder Panthers sit at 1-0 on the season.  On January 12th the Bombers travel to Crossgate Lanes for their next GCL match and then come back to Colerain on January 15th for the first GCL Quad of the season.  

Fairfield Preview:
The Bombers trail the all time series against Fairfield 5-6.  The Fairfield Indians travel to Western Bowl with a record of 1-1 and averaging 2417 per match.
