The Bowling Bombers traveled to Mason Bowl on January 13th to take on the Lakota East Thunderhawks.  The Bombers have not played the Thunderhawks since November 21, 2016 and the Bombers held a 3-0 series lead over Lakota.  Lakota East came into the match 5-1 on the season and sitting attop of the GMC.    

In game one, the Bombers came out firing with junior Jared Littelmann shooting a 258 while senior Owen Sena shot a 232.  Juniors Jalen Morrow, Zackary Beard, and Christopher Obert (196, 192, 186) closed frams to push the Bombers to a 1064.  Lakota East rolled two games north of 220 for a game one total of 979.  The Bombers sat with an 85 pin lead.  

In game two, Bombers pushed their lead rolling a 1096 for a 2 game series of 2160 while Lakota East broke a 1000 for a 1985 total score.  Owen Sena had the front 9 strikes before an poorly timed split ended his game with a 266.  Owen ended with a 498 series.  Allen rosal came in during the second game to shoot a 236 and Jared Littelmann finished his 481 series with a 223.  Zackary Beard shot a 199 for a 391 series and Jalen Morrow shot a 172 for a 368.  The Bombers averaged 216 across the first 10 games of the match.  

In bakers, the Bombers struggled with the lane break down in game 1 to roll a 149, but they came back with games of 234, 201, and 174 for a baker series of 758.  Lakota East shot a baker series of 804 with games of 188, 205, 186, and 225.  The Bombers move to 4-3 on the season with a 2918 - 2789 victory over the Thunderhawks.

Owen Sena's 266 ties him for 49th best game in team history with former Bombers Ben Weinberger, David Weiskittel, and Tom Hein.  Jared Littelmann's 258 is tied for 64th best in program history.  Owen Sena's 498 series is 16th best in team history and Jared Littelmann's 481 sits at 35th best in team history.  The Bombers set records as a team with a 1096 and 1064.  The 1096 is the 17th highest score in team history and the 1064 sits 45th.  The Bombers match total of 2918 ranks 8th best in team history and marks the first time the Bombers have broken 2900 since January 30th, 2014 when the Bombers won on the road against Moeller.  

Upcoming Schedule:
The Bowling Bombers travel back to Colerain Bowl for the first quad of the season as they face Moeller, Elder, and the league leading LaSalle Lancers.  LaSalle sits atop of the conference with a 4-0 GCL record; Elder sits in second with a 1-1 record having lost this week at home against LaSalle; Moeller sits tied with St. X in third at 0-2 on the season.
