On Friday, January 17th, the Bombers traveled to Colerain Bowl for the LaSalle hosted GCL quad. The third quad of the year, saw the Bombers within striking distance of second place LaSalle (7-4 in GCL). Â
In game one, the Bombers shot an 879 thanks to sophomore
Zackary Beard's 203 (379 series) and junior
Owen Sena's 181. The Elder Panthers blew open the first game with a 1017 with 3 games over 230. LaSalle sat in second with a 998 with a pair of 200 games by Nolan Blessing and Zach Torbeck. Moeller sat 3rd with a 901 with 200 games by Jake Nelporte and Noah Lorbach. Â
In game two, the Bombers' struggles continued shooting an 867 with
Owen Sena and Josh Barbee leading the Bombers with a 194 (375 series) and 197 (367 series) respectively. Elder increased their lead with a 1119 on the back of four 200+ games. LaSalle shot a team game of 966 with Noah Blessing and Tommy Hambrick rolling a pair of 240s. Moeller shot a 934 with a Matt Longwell 219 and Jake Nelporte 253.
Heading into bakers, Elder led with a 2136, LaSalle sat second with a 1964, Moeller in third with a 1835, and X in fourth with a 1746. In bakers, the Bombers shot a 668 with games of 176, 167, 161, and 164. Elder clinched the victory with a grand total of 2947, LaSalle finished 2nd with a 2864, Moeller in third with 2499, and St X in fourth with a 2414.Â
