Record Performance by Jared Littelmann, Bombers Beat Moeller

Bombers Split Quad, Go 1-2

The Bowling Bombers traveled to Crossgate Lanes on Tuesday to roll in the first of four quads on the season.  The Bombers entered the quad sitting in 4th in the division at 0-1.  Before the match, all 4 teams met on the approach for a prayer circle to recognize Seton Coach Jim Robb and pray for a quick recovery for him and his family.  

In game 1, sophomore Jared Littelmann set the pace for the Bombers with a 234 and Allen Rosal rolled a 192 (381 series).  Elder, the defending GCL champions, came out rolling three games north of 200 by bowlers Jaxon Tuerk, Ryan Kaffenberger, and Cameron Jansing.  LaSalle was led by Alex Toelke with a 181 and Moeller's John Painter rolled a 202 (374 series) for the Crusaders.  The Bombers finished game 1 with a 909 trailing Moeller's 919 and Elder's 986.  The Bombers held a 67 pin lead over the Lancers. 

In Game 2, Jared Littelmann shot a 236 for a 470 series and Christopher Obert came in off the bench to roll a 210.  Moeller bowlers Kyle Smith and Nolan Braun shot a 231 (410 series) and 207 (397 series) respectively.  Elders Ryan Kaffenberger shot a 248 (449 series) and Ethan Boyers show a 201 (393 series).  For LaSalle, Tommy Hambrick shot a 247 (418 series) and Nolan Blessing shot a 246 for a 411 series.  At the end of the second game the Bombers sat second trailing Elder 1960 to 1890 while LaSalle sat in 3rd with an 1852 and Moeller at 1847.

The Bombers baker game struggles continued as the team posted scores of 191, 176, 181, and 163 for a total of 711.  Elder held onto their lead with a baker round score of 830, LaSalle passed the Bombers with an 802, and Moeller rolled a 651.  The final score from Crossgate Lanes: Elder 2790, LaSalle 2654, St. Xavier 2601, and Moeller 2498.

The Bombers move to 1-4 for the season and 1-3 in the GCL sitting in 3rd place 3 games behind first place Elder.  Jared Littelmann's 470 tonight was match high series and places him 47th best 2 game series in team history.  The Bombers are next in action on Thursday at 7PM at Western Bowl when they roll against GCL rival Elder.
