ST. XAVIER BOMBERS ATHLETICS

Being a product of the St. Xavier Swimming and Diving program can have its advantages for coach and athletes alike. That certainly is the case for Luke DiGiacomo who joined the staff in 2022. A 2018 honors graduate of St. X, Luke brings valuable experience and insights to the Long Blue Lane.

His swimming career began with the North Hills Froggies in the PPSL, coached by several AquaBombers over the years. Upon arrival at Bomberville, he demonstrated a great work ethic as he developed as an athlete and leader. A group II lifer, he improved each season as a breaststroker, while expanding his abilities in all strokes.

His crowning achievement came in his final swim at Keating in the Fred Cooper District Invitational where he struck gold in the 100 Breast. Over his career, he improved over thirteen seconds in 100 Breast and fifteen in 100 Fly. Coach “Gangsta” DiGiacomo clearly demonstrates a desire to help AquaBombers improve as he did.

The son of legendary coach, Don DiGiacomo, he earned his BS degree in mechanical engineering technologies at the University of Cincinnati. He is a designer with Belcan Corporation.
