Aaron Dorfman has been involved with swimming for almost 30 years. He joined the St. X staff in 2021. Growing up he swam for Orchard Hill Swim Club, later moving on to Colerain High School and Powell Crosley Y where he qualified numerous times for Y nationals. Dorfman finished his competitive career as a four-time letter winner and a Conference champion at the University of Cincinnati.
While at UC, he earned a BS in dietetics in 1999. He completed his education with a Masters in nutrition at Marshall University in 2003. Coach Dorfman provides valuable nutritional expertise to the AquaBombers.
He has coached at Clippard Y, Gamble Nippert Y and then founded the Mercy Health Plex Sea Wolves. While leading the Sea Wolves, he developed a remarkable program that featured 285 swimming, multiple training sites, 14 coaches and a top 150 national ranking. He has coached Olympic Trial qualifiers, High School All-American, State champions, age group record holders and was selected to attend the USA Diversity Clinic. He was named Y Southwest Cluster Coach of the Year in 2004 and Ohio Age Group Coach of the Year in 2009.
A full time professional with Enervise (HVAC company), he is a talent acquisition manager. He has also established a nutrition consulting firm – Perfect Streamline. Aaron lives in Anderson with wife Sarah, son Rowan and daughter Eden.
An outdoor enthusiast, he enjoys mountain biking, trail running, disc golfing and family outings.
