Bombers Roll Past St. Ignatius in Dominant Performance
The Bombers traveled to Case Western University Friday night, taking down Cleveland St. Ignatius 41–7.
St. Xavier struck early and never looked back. Quarterback Jackson Frey led an explosive offensive performance, throwing for multiple scores and guiding the Bombers to points on each of their first four possessions. Senior receiver Alex McClatchey stole the show, hauling in three first-half touchdown receptions which included strikes from 34, 65, and 20 yards, to help St. X build a commanding 27–0 lead midway through the second quarter.

Owen Davidson chipped in a pair of field goals from 27 and 31 yards, and Jake Britt added a highlight 68-yard touchdown catch just before halftime to give the Bombers a 34–7 edge heading into the break.

Defensively, St. Xavier suffocated the Wildcats from the opening whistle. The front seven pressured the quarterback all night, while Jax Hendon snagged a first-quarter interception to stall an Ignatius drive. The Bomber defense held Ignatius scoreless for nearly three quarters before a late second-quarter touchdown.

The running game rounded out the night's scoring as Alex McClatchey found the end zone again in the third quarter, this time on the ground from 18 yards out to make it 41–7. The reserves closed things out with a strong fourth-quarter stand as the Bombers secured their sixth win of the season.

St. Xavier (7–2) now turns its attention to Post Season Play with their first post season game being Friday, November 7th.
