In a thrilling sold-out GCL showdown at St. Xavier's RDI Stadium & Ballaban Field, the Moeller Crusaders edged out the Bombers 45-37. Both teams showcased explosive offenses and impressive plays, highlighting their determination and skill.

First Quarter: The game kicked off with an explosive 80-yard touchdown run by St. Xavier's Chase Herbstreit, setting the tone early. However, Moeller quickly responded with a barrage of scoring, featuring a 16-yard touchdown pass from Matt Ponatoski to Tyler Josleyn, followed by two more touchdown passes to Matthew Fogler and Roman Mason, respectively. By the end of the first quarter, Moeller had established a commanding 28-7 lead.

Second Quarter: St. Xavier wasn't about to back down, as they rallied with a 12-yard touchdown run from Daniel Vollmer. A highlight play came when Herbstreit connected with Cameron Taylor for a stunning 45-yard touchdown pass. St. Xavier added a 33-yard field goal from Owen Davidson, narrowing the score to 28-24. However, Moeller closed the half strong with a 21-yard touchdown pass to Jovan Love, taking a 35-24 lead into halftime.

Third Quarter: The third quarter continued to deliver excitement, with Moeller extending their lead to 42-24 after a 4-yard touchdown pass from Ponatoski to Love. The Bombers fought back late in the quarter with a 3-yard run from Jake Britt, bringing the score to 42-30.

Final Quarter: The fourth quarter saw St. Xavier really come alive, with Vollmer scoring on a 3-yard run, cutting the lead to 42-37. However, Moeller managed to respond with a 22-yard field goal from Jack Mallabar, pushing their lead to 45-37. St. Xavier had a chance to tie it up, but ultimately fell short to the Crusaders in the last moments of the game.
