Soccer Beats Walnut Hills On the Road in Season Opener

The St. Xavier Bomber Soccer Team officially started their season this past weekend, and they are coming home with a WIN! After coming just short to the Walnut Hills Eagles last season at home, the Bombers took the victory from them this year, 1-0.

After a scoreless 52 minutes of play, the Bombers came up on top thanks to a beautiful shot just within the goal box from junior Rowdy Scheer. From there, St. Xavier was able to hold on and shutout Walnut Hills on the road.

The Bombers come into their home opener with a 1-0 record. They host the Anderson Raptors tomorrow, August 20th at RDI Stadium and Ballaban Field. JV gets things started at 5:00 with Varsity to follow at 7:00.
