Clifford Brothers Hold Second Annual Football Camp at St. Xavier

Clifford Brothers Hold Second Annual Football Camp at St. Xavier

by WKRC Sports at Local 12
For the second consecutive year, St. Xavier High School graduate and current NFL quarterback Sean Clifford and his younger brother Liam held their "Clifford X-Factor Camp" at their alma mater on Sunday.

The former Bombers put on this clinic to give back to their community and show that they walked in these young players' cleats when they were growing up and attending similar camps. In particular, both Sean and Liam remembered taking parts in clinics hosted by former University of Cincinnati quarterback Tony Pike.

One year into his professional career with the Green Bay Packers, Sean has even more knowledge of the game that he wants to instill into the minds of young players who are looking up to him. "Speed of the game gets faster as you grow up." said Sean. "I still think that when I was in third, fourth, fifth grade, that was the most fun playing football, just because it's so new, you're out there with your buddies. Now, it's a little more professional, a little bit more of your job, but every single day I'm waking up living the absolute best life."

Sean finished his collegiate career at Penn State as the program's all-time leader in wins as a starting quarterback (32), completion percentage (.614), completions (833), passing yards (10,661), total yards (11,734), passing touchdowns (86) and pass attempts (1,356). Liam is heading into his senior season with the Nittany Lions as a wide receiver.
