In a commanding performance on Friday night, the St. Xavier Bombers cruised to a 41-0 victory over the Milford Eagles, showcasing their offensive power and defensive dominance. From the opening drive to the final whistle, St. Xavier controlled every aspect of the game, never allowing Milford to gain any momentum.

The Bombers wasted no time getting on the scoreboard in the first quarter. At 4:03, junior Daniel Vollmer punched in a 2-yard touchdown run, capping off an 8-play, 53-yard drive that took 2:12 off the clock. Just over two minutes later, quarterback Chase Herbstreit connected with tight end Matthew Hoerst on a 38-yard touchdown pass, extending the lead to 14-0. The touchdown came after a quick 2-play, 52-yard drive that took only 2:38.

St. Xavier continued to dominate in the second quarter. At 9:57, Herbstreit found junior Jake Britt in the end zone for a 24-yard touchdown pass, increasing the lead to 21-0 following a 4-play, 42-yard drive. Later in the quarter, with 2:46 left on the clock, Herbstreit tossed his fourth touchdown of the game, this time to Von Holle for 16 yards. The 10-play, 85-yard drive took 4:49 off the clock, giving the Bombers a commanding 28-0 lead at halftime.

The second half was more of the same for St. Xavier. To open the third quarter, Daniel Vollmer electrified the crowd with a 97-yard kickoff return for a touchdown, further extending the Bombers' lead to 35-0. After Milford failed to mount any serious offensive threats, St. Xavier tacked on one more score in the final seconds of the third quarter. Elijah Steele capped off an 11-play, 61-yard drive with a 2-yard touchdown run, though the extra point attempt was blocked, making it 41-0.

The Bombers' defense was just as effective as their offense, stifling Milford's attempts to gain any rhythm throughout the game. St. Xavier's line controlled both sides of the ball, allowing Milford little breathing room. With the victory, the Bombers advance to the 2nd of the OHSAA playoffs. They play AT Winton Woods this Friday, November 8th at 7:00.
