2023 Schedule Release

The St. Xavier High School Athletic Department is excited to announce the 2023 Bomber Football schedule.

Week 1 – Friday, August 18, 7:00 pm
HOME vs. Lakota West High School
  • The annual meeting between head coaches Steve Specht and Tom Bolden comes back to RDI Stadium as the Bombers host the Firebird
Week 2 – Saturday, August 26, 4:00 pm
AWAY vs Detroit Martin Luther King Jr. High School (MI)
  • The Bombers travel up to Detroit to participate in the 2023 Xenith Prep Kickoff Classic. This matchup is the culmination of a three-day prep high school showcase at Wayne State University's Tom Adams Field.
Week 3 – Friday, September 1, 7:00 pm
AWAY vs. McCallie School (TN)
  • St. Xavier heads down to Chattanooga to take on one of the premier schools in Tennessee, both athletically and academically.
Week 4 – Friday, September 8, 7:00 pm
AWAY vs. Withrow High School
  • Back in Cincinnati after a two-week hiatus, the Bombers travel to Withrow to take on the Tigers in their first meeting in 22-years.
Week 5 – Friday, September 15, 7:00 pm
AWAY vs. Moeller High School
  • The St. Xavier vs. Moeller rivalry is one of the states longest and best rivalries and anytime the two programs square off, it usually means a tightly contested matchup.
Week 6 – September 22, 7:00 pm
HOME vs. Elder High School
  • St. Xavier will look to avenge a loss to Elder when they traveled to The Pit last year as they welcome the Panthers to RDI Stadium this year in a home contest for the Bombers.
Week 7 – Friday, September 29, 7:00 pm
HOME vs. Trinity High School (KY)
  • St. Xavier and Trinity are developing a healthy rivalry despite being a state apart as the Bombers look to avenge last year's loss in Louisville.
Week 8 – Friday, October 6, 7:00 pm
HOME vs. LaSalle High School
  • In addition to being another competitive GCL matchup, the Battle of North Bend proves to decide who is the "king of the road" each year as the two programs are separated by mere miles.
Week 9 – Saturday, October 14, 3:30 pm
AWAY vs. St. Ignatius High School
  • The annual rivalry game amongst two of the Jesuit institutions in the state always proves to be a reminder that fellowship and fierce competition can go hand in hand. After winning handily in '19 and '20, the Bombers will look to snap a 2-game skid to the Wildcats
Week 10 – Friday, October 20, 7:00 pm
HOME vs. Trinity Catholic High School (FL)
  • Trinity Catholic will leave Ocala, Florida to travel up to Cincinnati to take on the Bombers in this Week 10 matchup and the St. Xavier senior night. Last season, Trinity went 9-3 and lost in the state championship of their division.
Season tickets will be on sale in May.  

Last season the Bombers went 5-7, losing in the second round of the OHSAA playoffs. They return a handful of starters on both sides of the ball as their young squad from 2022 comes back a year older.
