Soccer Takes Down Centerville on the Road

In what's turning into a friendly, late-season rivalry, the St. Xavier Bombers traveled to Centerville to take on the Elks on Saturday evening, October 8th.

An evenly matched game all night, Ty Reilly broke a 0-0 deadlock with a chip over the keeper in the 50th minute to provide the game's only goal and give the Bombers a 1-0 victory.

The goal was Reilly's 11th on the year, moving him into 3rd in the GCL. He currently sits in 2nd in total points at 28.

The win improves the Bomber record to 9-5-1 as they head into their regular season finale, on Tuesday 10/10, against La Salle. They will host La Salle for Senior Night in a JV and Varsity double header. JV kicks off at 5:00 pm with Varsity to follow at 7:00 pm. Senior Night festivities will take place in-between games. Soccer will open postseason play on October 21st at home against the winner of Middletown and Withrow. Tickets to that match will be through the OHSAA and can be purchased here!
