Walker's performance in the 100 Breast earned him Swimmer of the Meet honors.  All first place finishers were named 1st Team All GCL.  In addition, the following garnered 2nd Team All GCL: Once again the distance brigade put in tremendous races as Fogler, Gino Eckert, Alex Nixon [FR] and Jonathan Naylor [SO] swept the event, all finishing in lifetime bests.  The breaststrokers were not far behind as Walker and Thorp were joined by Myles Connock [SO] and Elliot Stenken [SR] who placed 4th and 5th respectively.

COACHES COMMENTS –

"Inspired swims from start to finish.  We were able to bring home another GCL title, while continuing to improve as a team.  Congratulations to our athletes and coaches, as well as some great competition from Elder, LaSalle and Moeller," reported head coach Dave Albert.

"Representing St. Xavier is very special.  We encouraged our guys to expect the unexpected and we were gratified with the results.  Certainly more work needs to be done, but it was a significant performance by these student/athletes," reflected assistant head coach Jim Brower.

"Special kudos to Coaches Beerman and Counts for taking the point on the GCL taper.  Our guys responded well in an energy packed atmosphere," noted assistant head coach Tom Keefe.
