Bomber Soccer Plays Moeller to a Draw

St. Xavier traveled to Deer Park High School Tuesday night to take on the Moeller Crusaders in a matchup of two of Cincinnati's top three teams.

While both programs had their collection of offensive chances and remarkable defensive plays alike, the score concluded at a 0-0 draw after 80 minutes of play.

Standout senior goal keeper Luke Eckert shined for the Bomber defense, thwarting every Crusader opportunity that came his way. Eckert currently leads the GCL South in saves (30) and in shutouts (6.0) with the next closest only having two.

Based on state rankings, St. Xavier currently sits at 1st in Cincinnati with Mason behind at 2nd, and Moeller coming in at 3rd. The trio are ranked 5th (St. Xavier), 8th (Mason), and 13th (Moeller) in the state, respectively.

Playing one of the toughest schedules in the state, the Bombers will have their shot at Mason on September 24th at Mason. Their next game is set for September 17th at 1:00 pm at Olentangy Liberty High School. Click here for information on live streaming and tickets!
