St. X Goes Christmas "Carrolling"

On December 28, the Long Blue Lane entertained Dayton Carroll at Keating Natatorium.  While no team score was kept, the Blue & White was in the gift giving spirit.  The boys from Bomberville presented a formidable line-up and garnered wins in nine of the eleven events.

Freshman Hendrix Cross set the pace picking up 3 golds [200 Free, 500 Free, 400 Free Relay].  Sophomore Anthony Dorsey joined him on the relay and also won the 50 Free.  Juniors Jude Kiley [200 Medley Relay, 100 Breast] and Will Maney [100 Free, 200 Free Relay] were also individual and relay champs.  Freshmen Daniel and David Kim were the other multiple winners.  Daniel touched first in the 100 Back and joined his brother on the 200 Medley Relay podium.  David led off the 400 Free Relay joined by Dorsey, Cross and Jake Dougherty [Soph].  Rounding out top relay entrants were Thomas Pitstick [FR] (200 Medley), Jackson Cornwall [Soph] (200 Free) and Christopher Alvord [JR] (200 Free).

St. Ursula Academy partnered up with the AquaBombers in the event with Carroll.

COACHES' COMMENTS –
"What a great event for our guys.  The Christmas spirit was high and so was the effort of our athletes," rejoiced coach Zach Vogelpohl.

"This tradition of putting all of our athletes under the Holiday spot light is very special.  The experience goes much further than just a swim meet.  It is inspiring to share the event with athletes, coaches and families at this time of year," proclaimed head coach Dave Albert.

"We journey together.  The Carroll meet was a great step forward in this year's trip," commented assistant head coach Tom Keefe.
