Bombers Take Down LaSalle, Complete Season Sweep of Lancers

The St. Xavier Bombers welcomed the LaSalle Lancers to Ballaban Field on Tuesday night as both teams kicked off the second round of GCL play.

St. X jumped out to a 2-0 lead after two early goals from Tanner Creech and Alex Lefker. LaSalle finally got on the board with 10 minutes left in the first half as the Bombers took a 2-1 lead into halftime.

Rylan Earl scored on a drop-off from Tanner Creech with 35 minutes remaining in the second half as the Bombers cruised the rest of the way to a 3-1 victory.

With the win, the Bombers close out a season sweep of the LaSalle Lancers after winning 4-0 back on September 2^nd. The win keeps St. Xavier in a tie for first place atop the GCL South standings as they improve to 3-01 in league play and 6-1-5 overall.

St. Xavier takes a break from GCL play as they head to Centerville, Ohio on Saturday, October 2^nd to take on the Elks of Centerville High School. JV starts at 5:00 with the varsity to follow. The games will be played at Magsig Middle School at 192 W Franklin Street, Dayton, Ohio. Tickets can be purchased here.
